I think I’ll start working on an architectural portfolio for my website. I probably need to shoot a few more houses, but I really don’t mind that at all. This is another San Francisco landmark, The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption which stands on top of Cathedral Hill. I shot these photos while I was working on a story about the Tenderloin area which is nearby for the now defunct Scanorama Magazine.

I’m starting to like photographing houses and buildings more and more. They stand still and you don’t have to please them with a barrage of small talk. Nevertheless I’m finding it increasingly difficult to do right by them photographically.
